Grodon, the cook, says that she heard of trouble in the western lands. The grain shipments from there have stopped and rumors have it that a dark army has entered those tracts. Meridian journeys there at the end of these six days, but thinks that the shipments stopped because of the terrible weather they have been having. Grodon complains that her bread will not be the same without good western grain, but I can't tell the difference. Warm bread and butter is always delicious, whether made with western or southern grain!
